This show is about people of color that have redefined what it means to live and be black. Whether it’s through satire, music, politics, etc these characters have pushed the boundaries of their genres, reinterpreting the definition of what we perceive as black culture.
While researching characters for the show I noticed a trend I was gravitating towards. I’ve always admired the bold and outspoken. The cats that aren’t afraid to be who they are and who most secretly want to be like. The ones that pull no punches and stand behind their words. To me, those are the ones that were always worth admiring.
